The Tucker family has been farming in Kalangadoo, located in the South East corner of South Australia, since 1892. To this day, original paddocks are still being farmed by current generations.
Kalangadoo, which translates to ‘Big Trees in Water’, nourishes a diverse range of agriculture. Cool climate, various soil profiles and pristine water have historically sustained horticulture, cropping and livestock industries within the area. |
A first planting of vines on the rich red strip of soil extending from the north to the west of the township was a natural progression for the family. Adding to their enterprises of apples, sheep and lucerne hay, the family grows produce which aligns with the quality and diversity of the region.
Two elegant wines have now been produced from the vines - Sauvignon Blanc and a newly released Chardonnay. |
